The composition of RFID The RFID system consists of 5 components, including transmitter, receiver, microprocessor, antenna, and RFID tag (IC card). The transmitter, receiver, and microprocessor are usually packaged together, and collectively called the reader (Reader), so the industry often divides the RFID system into three components: reader, antenna and RFID tag (IC card). The three major components are generally produced by different manufacturers. RFID working principle RFID is derived from radar technology, so its working principle is very similar to radar. First, the reader sends out an electronic signal through the antenna. After receiving the signal, the RFID tag (IC card) transmits the internally stored identification information. The reader then receives and recognizes the information sent back by the RFID tag (IC card) through the antenna. The recognition result is sent to the host. The RFID tag (IC card) and the reader realize the spatial (non-contact) coupling of the radio frequency signal through the coupling element. In the coupling channel, according to the timing relationship, the energy transfer and the data exchange are realized. There are two types of RF signal coupling between the reader and the RFID tag (IC card): one is inductive coupling, transformer model, coupling is achieved through spatial high-frequency alternating magnetic field, the theoretical basis is the law of electromagnetic induction; the other is One is electromagnetic backscatter coupling, radar model, the emitted electromagnetic wave is reflected when it hits the target, and the target information is carried back at the same time. The theoretical basis is the propagation characteristics of the electromagnetic wave in space.
